Cancellation Policy

Appointments are scheduled specifically for you! Our commitment to you is that we will make every effort to book an appointment that best suits your schedule. When you book your dental appointment, you agree that we are reserving time with our doctor, assistant, and hygienist, as well as operatory space.  We, therefore, require a minimum of 48 hours notice to change and/or cancel appointments.  If you fail to cancel your appointment or do not show for your appointment, we reserve the right to charge you a fee for the time we have lost. We will make every effort to accommodate your change or cancellation with the proper 48-hour notice provided. As a courtesy, we will call you the day before your appointment to remind you of the appointment you have booked.

In the event that you miss an appointment on a second occasion without proper notice, the practice policy is to ask the patient to find a different practice, at which point our patient services team will be happy to transfer the records of that patient to a new office with a letter explaining why the transfer is being made.

Please note that insurance companies DO NOT cover fees for missed appointments, therefore payment is your responsibility and all future scheduled, or required appointments, will no longer be held or booked respectively until the assessed fee has been paid.
*Exceptions will be made for illness or personal tragedy

Financial Policy

Payment in full is due at the time services are rendered unless prior financial arrangements have been made. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit, and Cash, for your convenience. For patients who require extensive dental care, we are pleased to offer payment plans. Please speak to our patient services team if you believe a payment plan may be right for you.

We are committed to making dental treatment convenient and accessible, so we accept dental insurance programs. As a courtesy, after your dental treatment, we will file your dental claims electronically, or manually, if your plan so requires. Your insurance provider will remit their payment of the dental treatment bill to us directly. However, please remember that ANY cost not covered by your dental plan is your responsibility. We cannot waive co-payments and deductibles, it is against the law and contrary to the regulations of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO). The practice of waiving co-payments, etc., is considered professional misconduct which could lead to a dentist losing his/her license to practice dentistry in addition to payment of fines. Please remember that your dental insurance plan is a contract between you, your employer (if applicable), and dental insurance provider. We do not know what is covered under your plans and any other specifics, like annual deductibles, annual dollar limitations, frequency limitations, and co-payments. Please note that insurance companies are not obligated to disclose any information to us under the Privacy Act. We recommend that you verify your coverage with your insurance company prior to your dental appointment.
